Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the state of research on the foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in such Western European countries as Great Britain, Germany and France. The authors studied the works of British, German and French specialists on Central Asia, in particular, on Kazakhstan (the method of an expert survey was partially used), devoted to various aspects of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy. It is concluded that there have been significant shifts in Western European historiography towards the recognition of the Republic’s potential as a regional actor.
