Abstract

Spin-lattice relaxation is discussed for radicals in a solid with isotropic hyperfine interaction; various models are used for the interaction between the vibrations in the radical and the lattice vibrations. The formulas relate the relaxation time to temperature, magnetic field, and the parameters of the spin hamiltonian.
