Isothermal diagrams of the Li2O–MnO–MnO2 system

Abstract

The isothermal diagrams of the Li2O–MnO–MnO2 system at an oxygen pressure up to 100 kPa were constructed, which allow to consistently represent phase transformations involving stable ternary phases: low-temperature spinel, cubic spinel c-LiMn2O4, tetragonal phase t-LiMn2O4, orthorhombic phase LiMnO2, monoclinic solid solution LixMnO2 (0.33 ≤ x < 0.5), spinel-structure solid solution LixMn3–xO4, and solid solution Mn(Li)O.
