Abstract
Osmotic coefficients and densities of solutions of CuCl2 in ethanol are reported at 25 °C. Osmotic coefficients have been measured using an improved isopiestic method and correlated with the Pitzer and NRTL models. Densities have been measured using a vibrating-tube densimeter and fitted with equations obtained from the Pitzer and NRTL models. Both the Pitzer and NRTL models successfully correlate the experimental osmotic coefficient and density data.
