Abstract
Introduction: First year Australian Football League (AFL) players have been found to be at higher risk of injury than established elite level players. While risk factors for sporting injuries are complex, muscle strength imbalances or deficits around the hip have been identified as a modifiable risk factors for lower limb (LL) injury. The objective of this study was to investigate hip strength and hip strength ratios in un-injured Australian Football (AF) players, spanning from late adolescence into early adulthood.
