Abstract

(Abstracted from Female Pelvic Med Reconstr Surg 2022;28:e34–e38) An increased rate of complications in surgical patients with poor glycemic control has an impact on the use of health care resources and costs for the health care system. A higher rate of surgical complications has also been reported in patients who undergo female pelvic reconstructive surgery (FPRS) and have elevated hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) levels >8%.
