Abstract

The manifestations of the association of organic liquids obtained by FT-IR spectroscopy in a KBr matrix at room temperature are presented. It was found that complexes formed due to different types of intermolecular interactions can be stabilized in the solid matrix. Several systems were considered: benzene—water, trichloroacetic acid—methyl iodide, and solid arene chromium tricarbonyl (toluene or mesitylene chromium tricarbonyl)—metane halide (carbon tetrachloride, methyl iodide).
