Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a defined system of interconnected devices which gather and transfer information over a wireless network. The aim of inculcating IoT in this research proposal would benefit from the excellent capability to raise efficiency in working, precautions on site, and effective management using DBMS. We have various constructions, which may be huge, i.e., a massive project, or just the smaller ones. Here, smaller sites could be handled by the owner himself or his team of few workers by giving instructions and doing the tasks to manage the whole area. Analyzing the enormous construction sites, we may take the instance of constructing residential buildings or a mall; we require an efficient management system to keep an eye on finance, supplies, waste, workers, machines, managers, timings, etc., so, at times, it is challenging for the owner as well as the architect or managers (assigned for the project). As they have to manage this massive lot of work, it might create chaos if an effective management system is not implemented. Also, it may lead to monetary loss and delay in construction, resulting in losing clients and brand reputation. With the help of IoT amalgamated with a Database Management System, one can save time, money, and energy. Hence, without any doubt, efficiency and safety are the vast aspects of IoT in the construction industry and are also the prime goal of this research methodology.
