Abstract
Abstract This paper describes the algorithms used in the IONPIT programme (QCPE no. 480), which is used to estimate activity and osmotic coefficients of salt mixtures from analogous information pertaining to single salt solutions. Calculations are based on Pitzer's ion interaction treatment. Most of the parameters for the single salt activity or osmotic coefficients available in the literature have also been included.
