Abstract

An ionic liquid-polymer coated garnet electrolyte was employed for a rechargeable solid-state Li-ion battery. The composite electrolyte can effectively suppress the formation of passivation layers on the garnet surface and reduce the interfacial resistance. The polymer solid-state battery electrolyte combined with a lithium metal anode and LiFePO4 cathode delivers a specific capacity of 120 mAh g−1.
