Abstract

Colloidal quantum dots have been used in various research fields such as display, bio-imaging, therapy, detectors, etc. Mostly, the bandgap electronic transitions are used to convert the light to electrical signals or vice versa. Not only the bandgap transition, but also the other electronic transitions are available under certain conditions , which is a merit of the quantum materials. The intraband transition, recently demonstrated in steady state, also can be used for various applications. To utilize the intraband transition, the quantum dots should be self-doped and the doped state should last even under ambient conditions. This talk will focus on optical and electrical properties of self-doped silver chalcogenide colloidal quantum dots exhibiting mid-IR intraband electronic transitions in steady-state.
