Abstract
In order to build reliable structure-activity relationships for the design of more efficient photocatalysts, it is crucial to progress the fundamental understanding of nanosystems interacting with light. Their photochemical reactivity is dictated by the nanoscale behavior. In this contribution, I will show our recent efforts to delve in this exciting field by leveraging a scanning photoelectrochemical microscope. The nanoscale detection of the molecular products generated by the photocatalysts unlocks the visualization of unexpected reactivity behavior and aid to the design of new materials.
