Abstract
Microfluidics-based products are particularly difficult to transition efficiently from a laboratory concept to a beta product that meets target costs for a consumable. The reasons for this has to do with the complexity of microfluidics products, including the use of multiple manufacturing methods to create complete devices, the integration of reagents and liquids, and the integration of sensors. The presentation will discuss how to organize and navigate the product development process to achieve success.
