Abstract
Abstractp‐Nitrophenol and trichloroacetic acid eutectic system has been investigated using phase‐diagram, undercooling, linear velocity of crystallization and viscosity measurement methods. Microstructure of the eutectic indicates that it possesses faceted‐faceted (f/f) morphology. Phase equilibrium data have been subjected to thermodynamic analysis, and GE and SE values for each mixture as a function of composition and temperature have been determined. Thermodynamic analysis shows that the system is non‐ideal.
