Abstract
The bulk photovoltaic effect and photoinduced change of spontaneous polarization have been discovered in α-LiIO3 crystals doped by Ni, Cr and Mn impurities. Both the value and the sign of the photovoltaic constant were proved very sensitive to the type of the impurity. The expressions of the short-circuit currents caused by the bulk photovoltaic effect and photoinduced change of Ps, have been obtained.
