Investigation Report and Problem Analysis on the Pass Rate of CET-4 and CET-6 of Animal Science Major in Three Colleges and Universities in Yunnan Province

Abstract

College English Test Band 4 and Band 6 have been paid more and more attention, and become an important indicator to measure the quality of college English teaching and the recruitment of employers. Taking the students of three animal science majors in Yunnan Province as the research object, this paper focuses on the analysis of the current situation and existing problems of the passing rate of CET-4 and CET-6. The influence and role of basic English teaching on CET-4 and CET-6 have been discussed. In addition, how colleges and universities should devote themselves to the reform of basic English teaching, constantly improve the teaching quality, so as to effectively improve the passing rate of CET-4 and CET-6 for students of animal science majors were also put forward.
