Abstract

Objective To understand the high risk types, high risk links and high risk factors(Four High)of acute instrument injury in clinical nurses, so as to provide basis for the establishment of scientific and effective protection system. Methods A retrospective investigation was conducted on 250 nurses in Third-Grade A general hospital in nanjing. Results Within one year, 63.10% of nurses had sharp instrument injury, and 73.40% had nursing age less than 10 years.42.90% of sharp instrument injuries were needle injuries.The high-risk stage of sharp instrument injury mainly focused on the operation, accounting for 43.50%, among which 18.90% occurred in the disposal of sharp instrument, and 17.50% occurred in the preparation of liquid medicine.In terms of the risk factors of sharp instrument injury, 78.60% of nurses considered insufficient nursing resources and 60.90% considered improper nursing operation. Conclusions The government formulates laws and regulations related to occupational protection, hospitals rationally allocate nursing human resources, strengthen nurses' standard education on prevention, practice and practice, and standardize nursing operation behavior, which fundamentally reduces the occupational risk of nurses' sharp instrument injury.
