Abstract

Objective To investigate the nurses' scientific research situation and to analyze scientific motivation and influencing factors, to provide basis for carrying out instruction and help for scientific research.Methods 140 nurses in one hospital of Harbin were investigated by convenience sampling method. Research instruments used in this study were two parts, including demographic questionnaire and nursing scientific research scale. Results The scientific research ability of nurses was poor generally. There were significant differences in different titles of nurses in scientific motivation ( P < 0. 01 ), while there were no significant differences in different titles of nurses in influencing factors ( P > 0. 05 ). Conclusions Nursing administrators should emancipate their minds and actively guide nurses to carry out scientific research and enhance their consciousness and ability of nursing scientific research.
