Abstract

Abstract The absorptive and dispersive properties in the process of resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization are investigated theoretically. It is shown that resonance absorption presents the character of transparency at the position of near resonance frequency, and a weak anomalous dispersion appears at the same time. Both transparent depth and the dispersion increase with the reduction of ionization ability. The phenomenon of transparency and weakened dispersion will emerge also when Rabi frequency is larger than 2 GHz, but the dispersive phenomenon will disappear if Rabi frequency is large enough. Thus we can realize complex light propagate with the same speed.
