Abstract

The non-conventional machining methods have various, particular advantages over schematic methods of machining. Among the all-non-conventional machining methods electric discharge machining is broadly used in industries for the production of complex machining. The quality of workpiece and economics of the EDM machining is mainly depends on the selected machining circumstances and the level of selected machining circumstances. Objective of work is to investigation of the effect of EDM parameters (voltage, current and, pulse on time) on surface roughness of the machined material. The parameters levels have been designed and mathematical relation between response has been calculated. The level values for current voltage are selected 10, 20 and 30 V. The level values for current are 2, 6 and 10 Amp. The pulse on time level values is 5, 10 and 15 micro-sec. The surface roughness has been identified for the designed of experiments. The minimum surface roughness was 2.436 µm observed for the higher level (10 Amp.) of peak current, higher level of voltage (30 V) and lower level (15 micro-sec.) of pulse on time designed level.
