Abstract

The research results of the dependence of the magnitude of plastic deformation on the rate of its flow using the example of processing materials by cutting titanium alloys are given in the paper. The process of plastic deformation in titanium alloys is the most interesting. Chip shrinkage characterizes the flow of plastic deformation. The influence of the feed rate on the shrinkage of the chips during turning of the titanium alloy ВТ6 (Russian State Standard GOST 19807-9) has been experimentally determined.
