Abstract

This chapter investigates the dynamics of the ensemble of interacting dust grains under conditions of thermal plasma by means of Brownian dynamics simulation. The chapter focuses on the time evolution of the pair correlation function. By comparing simulation results with experimental ones, it is found that the structure obtained in the experiment is far from the stationary state because the plasma flight time is less than the time of structure formation. The results of the comparison conform to the emergence of the experimental pair correlation function characterized by a sharp main peak with no high-order ones.
