Abstract
The influence of heat treatment on the electrocatalytic properties of H 2TAA-, CoTAA- and FeTAA-modified carbons with respect to oxygen reduction in an acidic electrolyte has been investigated. The effect of doping of metal ions and of purification processes on the carbon materials used as the support for H 2TAA was studied. It is shown that the parameters of the heat treatment (temperature and duration) influence the properties of the products formed. Conclusions were drawn in order to find the optimum conditions of the heat treatment for the materials under investigation.
