Abstract

The results of an analysis of experimental data on the dielectric relaxation processes in 78 polymers show that the dependence of the relaxation time of cooperative dielectric polarization processes on temperature and pressure is described by the equation: τ=τ 0exp U c 2RT g ln 1+ 2 exp κP T T g− l The value of the preexponential factor τ 0 depends on the polar group structure and on the mode of its attachment to a macromolecule. The activation energy U c is determined by the energy of intra- and intermolecular interaction, and T g is the structural glass transition temperature.
