Abstract

The article deals with technological research. The article discusses the results of theoretical and experimental studies on the creation of a new design of an end grinding wheel with an intermittent frontal and continuous nursing part of the final processing. In the discontinuous part, the transition from projections to depressions has been profiled along an Archimedean spiral. The characteristic of which we have determined by the ratio of the speed of the part to the speed of the wheel. On the basis of experimental studies carried out by orthogonal planning of the second order, an empirical model of the dependence of the contact temperature on the elements of the grinding mode of a wheel of a new design has been obtained. The resulting model contributed to the determination of a rational combination of elements of the grinding mode from the standpoint of increasing their efficiency, in particularly, reducing the contact temperature of the grinding process with a new design of the wheel.
