Abstract

BaFe12O19/SiO2 and BaFe12O19/B2O3-SiO2-K2O microcrystalline glass ceramics were prepared at 1100 °C and 850 °C, respectively, by citrate sol-gel process. The complex dielectric constant and complex permeability were measured in the range of 100MHz-6 GHz. The real part of dielectric constant and permeability decreased with increase of frequency and an obvious resonance peak is observed in ϵ” ˜f curves, with a maximum dielectric loss of about 0.40 for BaFe12O19/SiO2 microcrystalline glass ceramic. The real part of permeability decreased with frequency for BaFe12O19/B2O3-SiO2-K2O microcrystalline glass ceramics, however, its complex permittivity, imaginary part of permeability, dielectric loss and magnetic loss showed no significant variation in the whole range of measuring frequency.
