Abstract

The weighted density of states of low-frequency vibrational modes has been determined in 1-propanol doped with chlorophyll b by means of site-selective fluorescence spectroscopy. The resonance fluorescence spectra calculated have been found not to reproduce the measured ones even below the glass transition temperature of the solvent. This result is discussed on the basis of the anharmonic character of the vibrational modes.
