Abstract

Electron microprobe X-ray analysis and scanning microscopy studies have been conducted on ionic solids of various ionic conductivities. Either increase or decrease in the characteristic X-ray counts of the mobile components was observed depending upon the conductivity of the solids. The variation of the X-ray counting rate can be correlated with the transportation from a diminished source.
