Abstract

Controlled porous glasses (CPGs) are materials widely applied in chromatography. They can be obtained in a wide range of mean pore diameters, porosities and specific surface areas. The structure of CPG can be modified by hydrothermal treatment. The present paper deals with the changes of physico-chemical properties of hydrothermally treated CPGs. The influence of temperature and time of heating on the structural characteristics for two types of glasses (with smaller and wider pores) were discussed.
