Abstract
Analysis of thermal and gas-dynamic processes in tuyere zones is an important task. The processes occurring in tuyere zones determine the thermal loads on air tuyeres and their service life, the stability of the thermal and gas-dynamic regimes of a blast furnace and technical and economic indicators of blast furnace process. On the basis of mathematical modelling, the value of thermal flow density at the end wall of the air tuyere was estimated. The tuyere zone model is based on the fundamental physical and chemical mechanisms of tuyere zone formation and combustion models in the tuyere zones including conditions of pulverized coal and natural gas injection and blast enrichment with oxygen. When integrating the mathematical model and results with a computer (technical) vision system installed on separate tuyere devices, it is promising to develop a system for monitoring and diagnosing the state of tuyere zones in real-time.
