Abstract

Currently, scientists are actively studying the properties of cathodes based on various carbon materials, including carbon nanotubes. The purpose of this work is the possibility of using multi-emitter carbon nanotube cathodes for the development of field cathodes. A study was made of the field emission properties of multi-emitter cathodes based on filaments of multi-walled carbon nanotubes. For the experiments, a structure was assembled from a plurality of cathodes placed on a common base. As a result, the hypothesis of additivity of currents at low voltage was confirmed.
