Abstract

Over the past few years, there has been a surge in the development of new forms of Internet media, which has led to a gradual expansion of the Internet celebrity economy. The young adults of today who are the focus of social media are at an important stage in the process of forming their ideas regarding consumption, which can be easily influenced by the cultural environment of the internet. This study investigates and analyzes the current consumption ideas held by college students as a result of the influence that the Internet celebrity economy has had on them. It also discusses the cultivation methods that are appropriate for the current correct consumption idea of college students, and it puts forward feasible solutions to the existing problems according to the investigation, all in an effort to direct college students toward the establishment of a correct consumption idea.
