Abstract

In this paper, we have investigated the variation in structural parameters with annealing temperature for cobalt ferrite nanoparticles prepared by a simple coprecipitation technique. The samples are characterized using XRD measurement. XRD data confirms that the cobalt ferrite nanoparticles possess a spinel structure for both annealing temperatures 430°C and 600°C. It also shows an impurity phase if the samples are annealed at 600°C. Different structural parameters such as lattice parameters, bond lengths, oxygen positional parameters, etc. are calculated in more detail from XRD data, which will elucidate the connection between annealing temperature and structural properties.
