Abstract
The discussion of when and how to introduce and teach literature in foreign languages at the post- secondary level has been on-going for many decades but rarely has been discussed in language-specific terms. Following is an instructional model for teaching introductory courses to Spanish literature based on five phases, with an example of poetry.
