Abstract

This discussion provides an encompassing picture of the kinds of policy concerns that are discussed in this issue of the International Journal of Public Administration. It briefly describes each of the articles, and highlights the fact that Canada, the United States, the European Union and Australia are leaders in providing human rights to gay and lesbian people; while some other parts of the world continue to have many obstacles to the full provision of gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender rights.
