Abstract
It is clear from a review of the literature that most of the research done on violence and antisocial behavior focuses on male participants. This gender disparity, while understandable, limits our knowledge in this important area of abnormal human behavior. To promote greater discussion of and research into violence and antisocial behavior in women, Behavioral Sciences and the Law published a special issue on the topic in 2011. Given the number and quality of papers submitted for that special issue, we decided to publish a second special issue on the same topic (Part II). Much like the first, this special issue consists of a selection of original research reports representing investigations into diverse aspects of violent and antisocial behavior in women. We believe these studies further advance our knowledge of aggressive behavior in women (and men). We hope the readers of Behavioral Sciences and the Law concur.
