Abstract
Microscopy is a technique used to visualize an object’s tiny details that naked eyes cannot distinguish. Microscopic techniques cover an array, ranging from using a singlet lens or handheld lens to the most sophisticated microscopes utilized to study the structure, distribution, organization and chemical composition of objects. In this chapter, the authors focus on the different types of handheld or simple microscopes or magnifiers. Handheld magnifiers in one form or another are used for a variety of applications. Given the ease of usage, low cost and convenient sizes, they can be easily carried to examine and analyze various objects. These handheld microscopes magnify the object to be easily located, and their minute details can be observed. A handheld microscope is a handy, portable, lightweight tool for the examination of objects. The handheld microscope is easy to use, with quick searching and examination.
