Abstract
Nursing research is continuing to develop, consolidating the professionalism of the discipline and its place in higher education. Government support has been crucial to ensuring nursing research has taken on a higher profile in recent years. Different research methodologies i.e. quantative and qualitative both have a place, depending on the nature of the results desired. The second part of this article explores the nurse's role in conducting the qualitative research intrerview. This work was prepared as part of an MA in Health Care Practice (Nurse Practitioner).
