Abstract

Research on the development of education in the field of culture and arts is an important topic in view of the transformation processes in the EU. Although European education is based on the Bologna system of education, it is improved by modern pedagogical practices with broad elements of modern technologies. The article aims to analyze the development of education in the field of culture and artthrough the prism of modern transformational challenges in the EU. Our study is formed on the basis of both general theoretical and empirical research methods. In order to characterize the current state of the field of culture and art, the universities ofGermany, France, the Netherlands and Latvia were selected for analysis. The results conclude that the EU's joint regulatory institutions coordinate activities in the field of culture and the arts. Therefore, the main principle in the work of European universities is the emphasis on independent practical work of students and the development of individual learning trajectories.
