Abstract

This work deals basically with the process of social reproduction as it emerges in an economic system and attempts to understand mechanisms governing the phenomenon of labour-surplus and the subsequent formation of a structure of the dual type. Thus we shall naturally ask how to strengthen and restructure the economy at hand in such a way that the system as a whole begins supporting those processes primarily responsible for the fulfilment of its needs for growth and development associated with social reproduction. At a fairly general level the fundamental principles underpinning social reproduction are linked in an inseparable manner with the ubiquitous law of entropy. Hence in this work understanding social reproduction shall be tantamount to grasping the mechanisms ruling processes along which available potentials are used up, renewed and/or recreated.
