Abstract

I am delighted to introduce Professor Wah Tak (Kenneth) Tsang as the new Associate Editor, with special interest in infectious diseases. Ken is Associate Professor and Assistant Dean at the Department of Medicine, University of Hong Kong as well as Honorary Consultant Physician at the Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong. Among a wide range of clinical and research interests he is National Delegate for China to the European Respiratory Society and President of the Hong Kong Thoracic Society. Ken's extensive publications centre on bronchiectasis and he heads a large team conducting research into the effects of bacterial products on ciliary function, immunohistochemistry and inflammatory mediator expression at the cellular, protein and transcription levels. I am pleased to welcome him to the Editorial team.
