Abstract

Abstract The Dalabon intonational inventory consists of one major pitch accent H* and two tonally-marked prosodic constituents, the accentual phrase and intonational phrase. Like other Australian Indigenous languages, focus is realized by syntactically fronting and expanding the pitch range of the focal constituent (the accentual phrase) with no evidence of de-accentuation.
