Abstract

ABSTRACT This discussion piece between Elaine Swan and Sukhmani Khorana contextualises Khorana's new book in her research trajectories in refugee and media studies, and also unpacks new directions in exploring social movements and how they intersect with the study of emotions and practices of anti-racism. Swan and Khorana share many similar interests in food and intercultural studies, and in critiques of organisational equity and diversity – this interview, therefore draws on their mutual areas of expertise to demonstrate what decentring whiteness could look like in material and mediated practices.
