Abstract

Computer Aided Diagnostic (CAD) system is the development of algorithms which help physicians for easy decision making. Hence for development of such algorithms for CAD systems proper requirement engineering is very crucial. Requirement engineering involve elicitation of requirement, requirement specification and validation of requirements. In Pakistan in the field of engineering there has been a lot of progress with respect to CAD systems. The purpose of the proposed method is to make an efficient system for automated diagnosis of ARMD by iterative requirement elicitation. By cyclic or iterative it is meant that the system of diagnostic algorithm and classification is divided into various modules. For each module, the requirements were gathered and classified. After implementation the developed module was taken to the physician for cross validation of results. By this method thorough knowledge of the physician's requirements will be gained so that the end product is robust and fulfills all the requirements of the client i.e. the ophthalmologist.
