Abstract

The task of modern literary criticism is to re-examine the aesthetic significance of the works of I. Frank using new approaches and methods. The article analyzes the intertextual sources of the poem "Moses". As you know, the image of the biblical prophet was repeatedly applied in the world, in Slavic and Ukrainian literature. It is proved that even Ivan Franko in his early work writes about the image of the guide. This allowed us to create in the poem "Moses" the legendary character of the prophet.
