Abstract
ABSTRACT In this (auto)ethnographic study inspired by the disability personal narratives and informed by the critical disability studies, I examine my locus in higher education to show how deficit culture is established and sustained and how its institutionalisation manifest in the marginalisation of disabled faculty of colour. I call for re-imagining diversity and inclusion in higher education, actualising university missions, and reformulating university visions to promote authentic equity in higher education that values disability identity. Critical to the inclusion and belonging of disabled faculty of colour is establishing an anti-ableist climate, culture, and infrastructure.
