Abstract

The paper concerns the study of the patron activity of diplomatic staff members, and the legal regulation of charity and patronage in the Russian Empire. The legal regulation of patron activity in Russia was carried out in the context of international cooperation with European countries. The analysis of the patron activity of diplomatic personnel allowed revealing the positive aspects of the state regulation of patron activity.
