International Conference on Advances Manufacturing, Materials and Energy Engineering (Icon MMEE 2018)

Abstract

IConMMEE-2018 A two-day International Conference on ‘Advances in Manufacturing, Materials and Energy Engineering’-2018 (IConMMEE-2018) was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering(MITE), Moodbidri, Karnataka India. IConMMEE2018 was jointly patronized by MITE, Moodbidri and Binghamton University, State University of New York (SUNY), USA on 2nd & 3rd March 2018 at MITE campus, Moodbidri-574 225, Karnataka India. The event emphasized on bringing together experts from Manufacturing, Materials and Energy Engineering domains to take stock of current knowledge, share information and best practices, and build consensus on the actions most needed to move forward. Technical experts, academicians, scientists, researchers from various academic institutions and industry experts had participated in the event.ICon MMEE2018 had provided a common platform for all the researchers among all streams of Mechanical Engineering Science to share their research and to express their ideas and views. The focus areas of IConMMEE 2018 are Manufacturing, Materials, Design concepts & Energy Engineering fields of Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering & Mechatronics Engineering. The department of Mechanical Engineering had received 138 research papers across the globe. The delegates were be able to establish research relations and find global partners for future collaboration. The Conference had sessions on selected themes and sub-themes where the participants could discuss on the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.Prof. Dr. Krishnaswami (Hari) Shrihari, Executive Vice Provost for International Initiatives and Chief Global Officer, Dean and Distinguished Professor, Binghamton University – State University of New York was the Guest of Honor and inaugurated the International Conference. Dignitaries Mr. Rajesh Chouta, Chairman, MITE & President, Rajalaxmi Education Trust®, Mangalore, Karnataka, India gave presidential speech & presided over the inaugural ceremony. Prof. Dr. G L Easwara Prasad, Principal, MITE gave an inaugural address. Prof. Dr. C R Rajashekhar, Organizing Chair & Prof. Dr. M Lokesha Organizing Secretary have shared stage of the inauguration ceremony.
