Abstract

A high gain DC-DC converter which is non-isolated and suitable for PV application is described in this paper. The presented converter has two stages to provide a voltage gain of about 21 times the input voltage. The high gain is obtained from an interleaved boost converter (IBC) combined with a voltage lift capacitor, voltage multiplier cells (VMC), two coupled-inductors (CIs) and diode-capacitor multiplier (DCM) cell. The secondary windings of the CIs employ DCM while the voltage obtained from the IBC is enhanced by the VMCs. The experimental results of the prototype converter, 18V-380V, 100W validate the proposed theoretical concepts.
