Abstract
Abstract The following compounds: TlBrCl2.2L, TlICl2.3L, TlBr2Cl.2L, TlIBr2.2L, TlI2C1.2L, TlI2Br.2L, TlI2Br.3L, and TlIBrCl.2L (where L = 1-methyl-2-phenylimidazole) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses. All the solids are monomers and they behave as non-electrolytes in solution. Their 1H NMR and IR spectra are discussed, especially the Tl-X stretching vibration modes, and possible molecular structures for the complexes are proposed. Referee I: R. J. Williams Referee II: M.
